Darlington Heritage was originally a clothing mill that was converted into an industrial building with seven tenants. The property owner was looking for additional revenue stream to reduce his bottom line. The property is located in a rural area and owns the antiquated electrical transformer.

Geoscape Solar created a system that allows the owner to create a revenue stream by lowering the cost of his energy usage while billing his tenants at a retail rate. Geoscape Solar applied for and able to qualify the property owner for a REAP (Renewable Energy for Agriculture Program) grant. This also enabled his receiving a USDA guaranteed loan at a reduced rate. Geoscape Solar’s electrical engineers were able to work around the transformer and adjust the power to work at a highly efficient speed.
