New Brunswick Theological Seminary was the first Christian seminary that was established in the US. It housed in a historical building with a slate roof. The City of New Brunswick was hesitant to approve a solar energy system on the roof of a historical structure.

Geoscape Solar’s engineers designed a unique rooftop system with flashing underneath the individual slate shingles. This satisfied both the township and the property owners, allowing for this place of worship in New Jersey to convert to solar energy while maintaining its historical status.
